Years ago I used to buy lead strips to use for weight on the leader.
They came in packages of about twelve strips. I used to get them at a fly shop.
They were about 1/32 thick, 1/8" wide and about 3" long. No sticky back on
them. The shops might still sell them. I don't use weight on my line so I never
check.

Most golf pro shops will sell sheets of flat, sticky backed lead.
A good sporting goods store that carries golf stuff might carry it. I have also
seen it in the hardware store to balance the blades on ceiling fans, but it
cost 10 times as much for just a tiny patch of the stuff.
