Alan,
The bobbin I have switched to several years ago is the "Rite Bobbin", and may not be the one you are looking for but. I enjoy placing a regular sized spool on it and not having to cobble fill from an odd sized one. the two big things I enjoy are the ceramic tip (I sometimes get a bit heavy handed) and it is easily adjusted for tension. Really a big plus to me.
If interested, please contact me off list.

Folks.....I have just been looking thru eBay-Feathercraft-KStockard-The Fly
Shop- and any other places looking for a specific bobbin.

The name escapes me, but it is something like "Liecht" and it is a very
expensive automatic bobbin. Has any one ever tied with one or knows anything about it?

BTW I bought the C&F bobbin but haven't tied on it yet but did load a 70 denier
thread on it. It feels good in your hand but seems like it puts more tension on the
thread then a standard bobbin. After I tie a few flies with it I will give a report.

Some mistakes are just too much fun to make only once.
