Estaz and Ice Chennille wouldn't have been available to Tom Nixon. This must be someone's variation on his pattern.

Hi VFB,

I am researching the origins and possible original recipe (if this is actually a Tom Nixon creation) for this fly:

Is this a Tom Nixon original tied in the way he did it, or a variation created by someone else that is distantly related to Nixon's creations?

I know that Nixon did the Calcasieu Pig Boat, but am wondering about the pedigree of the pattern configuration linked above.

Anybody know?

Thanks,
