Well I can make up a good story but that is so far back that I don't remember. What I do remember I started fly fishing in 1944 during WW2. Started tying flies right after that about 1945. Started out with Bamboo and now I am back to bamboo. Oh yes, had a break from 1946 to about 1965 where flying and airplanes was most of my life I also got into spinning tackle but I will leave that part out. 1988 brought me back into the fold when health issues prevented me from flying and I went back into fly fishing and tying full bore.
