Wanted to challenge myself, with my eyes starting to begin to focus a tad more
with me getting my blood sugar numbers lower (140s this week, which is
supposedly quite good considering I started at 1085 with the DKA), so I tied
the attached fly - a size 16 artificial peacock quill bodied klinkhammer. Post
is made of Fly Tyer's Dungeon material called "Water Silk" - wanted to try it
out, and it is ok but quite "poofy" to work with for the purpose of a post.Â
Please excuse the hackle being undersized... it was a goof from poor lighting
more than poor eyesight... and being golden badger, a pale one at that, it
looks even smaller than it truly is... but considering I could barely focus to
tie a size 12 a few weeks ago, I'd say I'm progressing fairly well. Tied on my
HMH TRV vise - love this vise, it is truly my dream vise, even if the jaws are
a knock-off of the LAW vise jaws (personal opinion). I view that as a plus,
personally. Picture attached, and hopefully I figured out how to resize it
adequately... sorry if I didn't do it correctly. -Pete
