My copy of American Angler arrived yesterday and
bundled with it was a new mag called Fly Fishing.com
Magazine. Toward the back of the mag is an article
called "Gearing Up for the Northwest" (hang on, I'm
getting there) in the article was a tip, and I quote,
"Learn to quickly identify (using rubbing alcohol and
H2O) and repair (with a light application of
Aquaseal/Cotol) leaks quickly."
What's with the use of rubbing alcohol? Does it
somehow make a leak easier to detect? I know about the
filling the waders with water trick, but how would
adding alcohol help? If anyone is familiar with this,
could they elaborate? The magazine article didn't say
anything else about it.
Thanks for any replies. Merry Christmas and Good
Fishing to All.
