I fish every Saturday or sunday when there is not ice on the ponds. I also go out over my lunch hour 3 days a week to the local lake.
So I wet a line alot of times. Spend about 80% of my time with the fly rod. Live in the Midwest with lots of fertile ponds around I catch alot of fish. My best guess is that I caught over1500 fish this year. Largerst bluegill was 10.5 ", largest crappie was 18", largest bass was 7 1/4 lbs, largest channnel cat was 16 lbs. These were all on the fly rod and most were pure dumb luck because they were caught at weird times. The bass was in September during my lunch hour. Rick
