Yep it was a furry foam crawdad. What great was that I have never seen a steelhead in this stream before. I have caught a few more in it too. I always carry crayfish patterns with me. They may not hit them often but there is never any doubt about the take! Them seem to work the best when the fish are on the reeds. I know that a crayfish crank is a standard with alot of hot-n-totters.
