Keith - The absolute best producing Bluegill fly for me has been my Micro Clouser.
I tie it on a #12 Tiemco Model 101 or 100; 6/0 Black Uni Thread; Small Black Bead Chain Eyes; 4 strands of Red Krystal Flash over 4 Strands of Pearl Krystal Flash. All tied on the bottom side (point side) of the hook. I cast parallel to a weed line or some such 'gill holding cover and just let it fall. Then make short, 2" strips very slowly. If there are 'gills present, you will know it. Try it, you'll like it. - Gary At 09:49 AM 01/16/2002, you wrote: >I got a new 2 wt and a float tube this X-mas. >Hopefully I am going to do a lot of bluegill fishing >this summer as there is a great place close to the >house.
