Bob- I just have no use for strike indicators and prefer to weight my flys rather than add shot.  While I do use shot, it is usually a tiny single #6 6-8" above the fly when conditions warrant it.  Am fond of sections of leaded sink sections between line and leader attached by loop to loop.  Using just enough to sink the leader a bit, the weight of the fly gives me a good angle unless the current is swift.  By keeping my line straight but not taught, the swing is easy to read and where most strikes occur.  Sometimes I gently lift some line if it is a slow drift a feel for resistance which may indicate a strike.  My sin is often too long a leader, causing a bend.  This will be part of my New Years resolution.  ;-)
