One of the problems here is that the water is too deep 10 to 20 feet and swift.  Those rigs are often the only way we can get down to the fish.  Belive me Murf Michigan can be a strange palce to fish.  I have caught steelhead, walleye, bass and catfish all out of the same run with the same fly on the same day.   Bob
