Is there something special that you like about Corticelli?

What about other threads that might be found at a sewing shop?

Although I am in the Dallas "area", I have to drive a long way to get tying 
thread.  If there is something that someone knows of that can be purchased 
from a sewing shop, I would love to know about it.
