  I think I would stay with a nine foot or longer. If
you can find a set up that the rod has a good
warranty. I'm not sure Cortland has a warranty on
their rods. They do get broken you know. Have you
looked at reddingtons? Just my .02 worth.
  I've managed to break seven or eight.
