I have used the crackle back for quite a few years. For the body I used to use dry fly dubbing, then switched a few years back to dyed turkey round feathers. That seems to work the best for me. I have caught all types of fish on them. The way I like to fish it is to let it drift on the surface and then strip it back in just under the surface. Catches lots of fish both ways. Keith
