Murf, Are you using the turkey flat as the parachute post? When I run through the pictures I saw that the hook's bend is used to wind the parachute hackle. But they are reverse tied. The tail is at the hook's eye and the bend is used as the parachute post. Found some of them in one of mine catalogs. Don' know about the tying steps. Rene; I've had some luck tying the fly and bending the hook.  Used turkey flat for the post and tied parachute style.  Never fished them too much and can't remember catching many trout with them either.  Must be me.
