I mix almost all my own dubbing and do it in a coffee grinder (Bosch) that
has one blade up and one down and so far no problems whatsoever in doing a
nice dubbing mix.. I even got the grinder at the nearby Deseret Industries
store for 1.00.  (That's Utah equivalent of the Salvation Army thrift
store). I'd surely not worry about which way tbe blades were pointing if all
one was doing was mixing dubbing. Joyce
