I currently am making payments on a 12 wt outfit, so by next spring I should be set for the salt. Actually, I'm saving for it, but either way, I'm going to have it by next spring/summer. What flies should I have in my arsenal to start with and what species should I try for initially until I get the hang of fishing the coast?
     I'm on the East coast, inland SC. Its a 4 hour+ drive to the coast, so I don't want to waste my time. I will also be using it for inland stripers and hybrid bass.
     Any advice would be helpful.
