I have tried for Corbina you are right just as tough,
I had a few exciting follows but ran out of room.

You need to try sight fishing to CORBINA in the Southern California
Surf.... That is a tough game to play. CORBINA make Bonefish on the flats
look relaxed... We lovingly refer to them as "The Grey Shadows of the Surf"
. I think all Corbinas die at early ages from being overly Paranoid. I've
yet to catch one on the fly....thought I've "stocked" them numerous times
in the Surf...maybe this Summer I'll finally connect.....
