Steve,
Fist of  all  let me apologize for not putting my name to last nights post. I'm Scott Robertson, and my wife's name is Sarah. (and she knows nothing about this)
Denny claim's that Cortland's Clear Como line is the only clear line that has a true intermediate sink rate and he uses it to fish water up to six feet deep. He uses a clear Stillwater line that he says sinks at the same rate as a type 2 to fish water six to twelve feet deep.   He says trout come to shallow water to feed and I really don't think he fishes for them in water much deeper then that, I know I don't.  Being there when they are, is the key.  The slower the line sinks, the longer it will keep you in the fishes strike zone.  A type 4 or 6 will get you to 10 feet deep a lot quicker then a type 2, but will fall out of the strike zone or into the weed bed much quicker, giving you much less time actually fishing and more time retrieving and casting.  This is how I understand Denny's theory.  It works for me.

Hi Sarah,
I've been using Full Uniform Sink Lines in Type II, III, IV, and VI. Also use an Intermediate Line. The Clear Camo line by Cortland comes just in an Intermediate Sink Rate. Is that the only line that Denny recommends? It would seem to me that depending upon the depth and weed activity, you would want a full assortment of sink rates. What's you're understanding of this??
Thanks, Steve
