Back when I was tying a "dozen a day" (derailed by Byard's megaswap and now completely fizzled) I tied up dozens of Denny's fly's to try out this summer. I'll pit the Stillwater nymph against my usual Damsel pattern and see which comes up with the most fish. By the way, for those of you who have the book but have never seen his flies, the orange dyed grizzly color he uses is quite muted and browner than the typical orange colored saddles sold in fly shops. I don't know if the fish care. I suspect not.
