busy again on his home.
Casper's Sports Show is this week-end and I'm really looking frward to it.
Been down and out of the loop too long. I'll be tying for the Platte River
Fly Shop, and our special guests this year are Bob Jacklin from West
Yellowstone, MT, and Pete Parker, from Denver, CO. You may know Pete as the
Manager of the Fly Tying Video Theater for International Sportsman's Expos.
Pete is the holder of a few saltwater flyfishing records.
I'm in a holding pattern now, healthwise. After they shocked the beejabbers
out'a me a couple of weeks ago, I just called it quits for a little bit.
Steroid shots are still holding the back together, marginally, but I'm at
least a functioning human being for the present.
Next week-end, if the weather is good, I'm planning to put it to the test
and go hit the river. Ten minutes is all I need to land a couple of 20
pounders.

What's happened to all the good comraderie that we used to have on the VFB
List? I haven't seen a single "Me Too, Atta Boy or my two cents worth" in
several weeks now. And there has been a severe drop in the "Banter" that I
really enjoy. Have we become just another "high tech" fly fishing list? I
sincerely hope not. Right now, I'm chalking it up to the opening of "Trout
Season". Or should I chalk it up to something else?
