the Fly Tyer's Rendezous., Roscoe, NY.
The Catskill Fly Tyer's Guild is a group of fly tyers
dedicated to preserving the traditions of Catskill Fly Tying. This spring
The Guild is organizing a special one day fly tying event which we are
calling the Fly Tyers. Rendezvous. Tyers from all over the Northeast will
gather in Roscoe ( within a short-and I mean SHORT-walk to the banks of the
famed Beaverkill River ) for a day long event dedicated exclusively to fly
tying.
Over 40 tyers demonstrating their skills and fly making abilities. This
event is free, open to the public and is a non-profit event. Come see new
patterns, learn a new technique or see how some the Catskill tying masters
make many of the patterns which were developed in this region. Learn how
tyers are using some of the latest materials to make new flies. We also
will give you a chance to buy some of the flies made at the show by
demonstration tyers at an auction at the end of the day. Come fishing or
make some new friends and renew old ties. Time : 10 am to 3:30 pm
Location: Rockland House Restaurant, Roscoe, New York. Directions: Take Rt.
17 to Roscoe. If coming West on 17, take Exit 94, turn left. Head straight
through traffic light. Take Route 206 North at blinking light. If traveling
from the East on 17,take Exit 94, turn left. At traffic light turn left and
Take Route 206 North at blinking light. Head 2 miles and the Rockland House
is on the left hand side of the road.
