A bit of Line's End news... I recently decided to broaden our fly tying hook offerings and purchased a truck load of Daiichi hooks. The seventeen different styles I decided to stock offer a very broad spectrum and should cover most tyers' needs. They are packaged in convenient, color coded packs of 25 and are being offered with reasonable pricing. Yes...we still intend to offer our occasional hook sales and will at times include the Daiichi lineup. These hooks are hands down the finest available...extremely sharp...wonderfully consistent...and innovative. I'm especially excited about some of the styles available. The 1100 is a straight-eye, BIG-eye, wide-gape, mini-barb dry fly hook. Great for all of your smaller flies. Another very nice dry fly hook is the 1480...a 2X-Short, Limerick bend that is perfect for caddis. A fabulous innovation is the 1260, curved nymph hook that has a round bend...no more problems getting those bead heads on and the hookup ratio should improve greatly. I expect the 1150 heavy, wide-gape, up-eye scud hook to be very popular as well.
