Shay, Good idea, However, when you're trying to get people to sign up for a swap it's hard to do without soliciting the list. However, when I get a full swap, I send my swap updates "off list" to the Swap Participants. I think that if everyone would do their updates "off list", there'd be no complaints. Even so, there have been times when I inadvertently responded to a "full swap" question "on list", before thinking and I know this happens to others.
