Just out of curiosity, does anybody know the real technical information on
the safe water bottle? I used to do a lot of backpacking, and I went out
several years ago and picked up the nalgene bottles and the
way-too-expensive water filtration systems, but it always seemed like there
was some new disease that only the most expensive of options could protect
a person from. Are the safe water bottles really *safe* water bottles?

And incidentally, many thanks to everybody who contacted me both on the
list and off the list with their opinions regarding the issue of backpacks,
vests, lanyards, slings and the like. I received a whole lot of really
valuable information and I think I'm a lot better prepared to make a
purchase at this point. I'm pretty new to this list, and I really
appreciate all the help that you all have given me. This list really is an
exceptional resource on countless levels. These guys who are
unsubscribing, complaining about content, and otherwise are unhappy simply
do not know what they're missing out on. I hope I can return the favor
soon!

Thanks again everyone!
