DonO - They don't work very well in filtering out the Kayakers & Rafters, but they do fine on most everything else!  Now THAT would be an invention - just suck 'em up & trap 'em in the filter. I've noticed that I'll drink more water astream with my Safewater than with just the Litre bottle, which in the long run is a Better,healthier thing... The filter system is very effective & you KNOW the water is fine for your consuming... I recieved my Original one from the Rep of the Company for free, but purchased the second one... I think my origina! l is about shot, so I figure good idea to get a new one. By the by they retail around $35-40 for the Half Litre size, which is the size I'd recommend....
