Hi, this is to ALL members who sought to HARPOON me over my opinion.
I believe the original question asked for "opinions", not RIGHT or Wrong or a dictionary response. Everyone, obviously, has an opinion.I still believe that "trolling" is not flyfishing. You can do what ever you like. I enjoy casting to fish I see. I'm not a dry fly snob. I just do it the way that makes me happy. I too can read and write. Not as well as Jimmy Moore but good enough to evoke responses from you fellows. I guess I got what I deserved. No, nobody deserved that.
DonO- NO, Cree hackles will not make me happy- maybe Byard. I'm not gonna let you guys off that easily. You talk about this being a fun forum. I'm not too sure about that. If ridicule and "one up manship" is fun then I know why our country is going down hill swiftly.
Jimmy Moore- you fish because your father taught you?????????????? My father taught me a few things to: like consideration for others, good manners and if you can't say anything GOOD about somebody don't say anything. Your a professional writer. You know better. You never bring family into anything: it brings trouble.
Class is sure-footed. Class is confident. Class is real. It can't be faked. Class cannot be purchased at any price. Class can "walk with kings and keep its virtue and talk with crowds and keep the common touch." ( Thank you Rudyrad Kipling.) Class NEVER tries to build itself up by tearing others down. Class is already up and need not strive to look better by making others look worse.
I read something like that awhile ago and it kinda stuck with me. I think all concerned on this topic can learn from it. Me included.
If this type of thing continues your gonna loose other members. I see "unsubscribe" notices- tells me people are unhappy. I thought this was a PROFESSIONAL list not a list of boys doing small things.
If anyone really wants to know about my experience and expertise contact off-list. I'll be glad to help anyone.
