The South Branch of the Raritan River, primarily in the Ken Lockwood Gorge is only a half hour ride from Princeton. The Gorge was until this year, fly fishing only, it has now been changed to trophy trout waters or trout conservation area where the size and number of keepers is limited. The Gorge is one of New Jersey's prime trout waters. Located in Voorhees NJ, just of Interstate 78 on County Road 513. Any NJ map will get you there.

Subject: [VFB] Fishing around Princeton NJ

I'm headed to Lambertville, NJ (near Princeton) in a few weeks and will have my fly rods with me (plan to head toward Western MA later in the visit).  Anyway---is there any stream fishing (trout, smallies, etc) within reasonable driving distance from Princeton?  Any leads or information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Tie free & fish wild!
