Poor Del!
Thankfully, we do NOT have them in Indiana. But I have had experience
with them. MANY years ago, while taking a picture of a sunset over a
pineapple field in Puerto Rico, I stepped on a fire ant mound. I totally
embarassed my rather oh-so-proper business associate (and probably
likewise grossed out the locals) when I rapidly stripped out of my pants to
get at the ants. I was standing right on the edge of main highway.
Funny, when you get fire ants biting their way up your legs, you loose all
modesty!
Fortunately, I got them all before they reached anything critical.
I would say, "Thanks for the memories", but I would really rather have more
pleasant ones.
