To the list,

I have a confession to make. I read about DonO's heroic refusal of a
princely portion of poached salmon with a slight amount of dismay. I am
obviously proud of Mr.O...who COULDN'T be after such a brave refusal of the
temptations of Sultry Salmo salar...such a noble man he is, to be sure.

No - wonderful fans of fishing fun and co-laborers in the struggle to
promote ethical practices world wide....I must confess that it is I who have
sinned.

It was not a plate piled with portly parts of a poached salmon which induced
me down the dark path of despair...it was a poached egg. Alas...'tis true.
Within the past several months I have dined not once but thrice on such a
delicacy...and I must come clean. I offer myself to you, comrades, to bring
me to justice. I must offer special apologies to our brethren (note that I
use this term in a non-gender specific manner...I am in no way trying to
promote the long standing views held by patriarchal societies everywhere...I
want everyone to know that I am NOT being sexist by using "brethren" as a
pronoun to specify "all of you people"...no....for future reference, when I
say brethren I mean "males AND chicks"....)....anyway....special apologies
to our brethren in the United Kingdom as the Ovums of Illegal Origin in
question came from YOUR chickens. I have notified the British Embassy here
and they assure me that they are looking into extradition procedures.

Perhaps in the future I will be able to measure up to the moral stature
which DonO has so masterfully displayed, nay...that which he invokes with
his mere presence.

Until then...I must place myself at your collective mercy.

Chris
