After all that discussion on ethics, you guys would be proud to know that
some of it wore off on me.
I dined at a seafood buffet this past weekend and one of the menu items was
poached salmon. It looked really good, but I'll have you know I passed it
right up seein's how I'm an upstanding ethical & legal fisherman now.
That's okay Don O, I'll be sinning tomorrow and making up for your good behavior. I plan to have lunch at my favorite sushi haunt. For starters, I'll have some shashimi and sushi salmon, tuna, yellowtail, salmon roe, sea urchin (my favorite), eel, scallop, quail egg, octopus, squid, flying fish roe, conch, orange or giant clam, and then look at the sushi bar menu sheet. This monthly regimen allows me the ability to continue tying flys. Without it, I'd have to resort to garden hackle.
