The W.W.Grigg company (www.wwgrigg.com) makes nice rods that sell inexpensively. I bought my 7 wt made by them, and I am very happy with it. Its their GX series 900-7. Its a medium flex rod that is very happy trolling for trout with a sinking line, or chucking 3/0 steelhead patterns 60'. And I paid like $45 for it, not the list $76. I guess if I wanted to qualify the rods in the GX series, they are good riding ponies, not quarter horses. I would prefer a more powerful rod if I needed to shoot a whole line. but then I would have to add a 0 to the price I paid for mine, and that seems pretty foolish for how nice a rod it is.
