This is going to seem like a stpid question, but I've never tried fishing with a dropper fly and I'd like to give it a shot. My question is about the dry fly thats used to suspend the dropper. What kind of knot is used for attaching the dry fly to the line? I would imagine that the wrong knot would seriously disturb the fly's appearance on the water, but like I said, I've never tried it so I don't know. Is there any special preparation that needs to be done to either of the two flies? Either extra floatant on the dry or a certain type of dry that has less of a tendency to be sucked under by the dropper?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone! JR
