I've had nothing but problems with AOL lately.  I haven't lost any files or 
even had it crashed or anything like that but I keep getting kicked off if 
and when I can get online.  I, too, have had numerous conversations with 
their technicians and seem to have, at last resolved some of the problems.  I 
am not getting kicked off nearly as often as I used to.  Its been a very 
frustrating situation though.
