I use Rubbermaid boxes and lots of moth balls..the killer kind. I have cedar
chests..had fine saddles and necks stored in them and the moths demolished a
lot of fine things..including a $115.00 jungle cock neck. I now keep all
jungle cock and the grade 1 saddles/necks, in the freezer and the rest
liberally supplied with moth balls which are replaced every three months or
more often as needed.
I've tied and fished lots of these flies with no discernable change in
how the fish take the fly because of the smell. I'm guessing that leaving
the flies out while I'm tying them (usually takes days or weeks) results in
the complete loss of moth ball smell. Joyce- [VFB] material storage ggmiller
