I took the plunge and bought the rod. And I am VERY!!!! happy with it. It
casts better than most rods I have used, including my friends 6 XLP. Now I
want to find a 3 weight in this model!!! You guys are the best with all of
your knowledge about rods past and present.

Many thanks

The LL in the rod name stands for light line. It is an older Sage, that by
my opinion was one of the best rods they produced. I don't know what I'd pay
for it, but you don't see them for sale very often. Most LL owners would
sell you their daughter before they'd sell you their light line. It is a
slow action rod. I have the three weight, don't know what the 5 weight would
cast like, but I would guess it will cast like a charm. Hope this helps.
Tell us what you decide to do.

Hi there...

Has anyone heard of this rod. A neighbor has one for sale but I cannot find
it in a catalog. And if you know of this rod, what price should I offer?
