I am interested in tying extended bodies for mayflies. I read an article that
explained how to tie extended bodies using a needle clamped in the jaws of
your vice. You tie the extended body on the needle ( somehow ) as a seperate
piece altogether. You can mass produce the extended body parts , and then
use them later when you start tying your mayflies. Can anyone give me any
info regarding this method of tying.....i.e. any specific tying
instructions. This was not a weaved or stitched style... it was a dubbing
method. I tried dubbing onto the needle last night, but after I slid the
extended body off the needle, the whole thing fell apart..as I expected it
would. I wish i could remember where I saw the article ! I know there are
alot of tying guru's on this list , so please help!!!
   Thanks, Mike
