Well, well, Murph. You and I seem to have more in common than hot
peppers and Chili. I well remember riding my Norton Denominator at 130 mph
on Interstate 65 north of Birmingham, Alabama, while being chased down the
mountain by two 18 wheelers who ganged up on me and chased me to the
bottom. That was when I was young and dumb in the 50's. I can
still hear the throbbing roar of those twin French trumpets. Sweetest
sound I've ever heard. Even sweeter than my 57 Ford V-8 with Smitty mufflers, and
that's saying a lot!
You just got real high on the Goldsmith list of all time
heroes. Never owned a Norton. BSA, Triumph and
an
Indian from the late 50's into the late 60's but never got got that damn
Norton. Actually one of favorites from that era
was a BSA "500" single lunger. Sat about as high off the
ground as a truck. Great road bike. like riding in a
big
old
Caddy. But those Norton's would just bad a** mama's !!
