Hi Byard, these feathers must surely have a technical name? Does anyone
know?
All the best

I would like grizzly myself , So as to get grizzly wooly bugger stuff.

John;
The Whiting saddles I've used are too stiff IMHO for buggers. Better
to buy cheap, soft saddles for those. These saddle hackles are
better suited for dry flys and you can usually get 5 flys from one
hackle feather as Byard noted. I'm sure Byard has some cheap soft
hackles for buggers as I bought a bag from LinesEnd once.

Murf...

John is referring to the wide webby feathers that are on the saddles
closest to the skin. They become the pluckers bonus.
