Hi Chris, I have been fishing here in Utah for the past two months on several small tailwater streams. It has been below freezing on almost every occasion. I have been using a hopper/cricket pattern for an indicator fly and a #14 or #16 Copper John as the dropper, caught 37 browns in three hours the last time I went out. Mostly on the Copper John, but probably 25% took the indicator fly. Have tried other patterns for both the dropper and nymph and like this combo the best. I can see the indicator really well in poor light conditions as it has a white post of antron yarn.
