The 6wt WF will load the rod better (actually, quicker- maybe or maybe not
better) than the 5wt DT or a 5wt WF.  The 6wt WF ( 160 grains) has more
grains in the head
and will therefore flex the rod more than either the 5 wt (140 grains) WF or
DT .

 Look at the configuration of the  WF and DT heads  on the url  below.  You
can see why the WF loads the rod quicker.

  However, just 'cause the rod loads quickly does not mean it will
ultimately cast better.
 I have a 3wt and a 4wt rod  that perform better with DT lines than with WF
lines.

And I know that there are reasons for overloading, but the name brand rods,
and I am
not just talking the big buck guys, have the tolerances worked out pretty
well.
You are usually better off going with the line that is rated for the rod.
