We will pray that it rises no more Rene.

Ed,

We do not have much trout in the Rhine, beside Carp and Whitefish we have
pike, walleye and an increasing but small amount of See-trout and Salmon
(Yeah, Samon has returned into the Rhine and is spawning in some
tributaries.)

Fishing is impossible, today we have a water level of 9,50m, thats appr. 6m
(7yards) over the regular level. The banksof the river are on out streets
which are near the river and in the living rooms of some poor guys.

When the river will return in his bed fishing will be as usually (hopefully)

BTW: Prognosis from this morning: High level will be at 9,99 m, no kidding,
thats 1 cm below the level of the walls and damms which protect the old
town of Cologne.

Rene

How does all the rain impact the trout environment and the fishing in
the river?

Living would be easier if men showed as much patience at
home as they do when they're fishing.
