I agree with you phil,
it would be a very sad day if my state implimated fees on private
stretches, there are several rivers in my state that run through private land
but way back when someone was thinking and put state accesses in we also have
stretches of river that are quality managed.some have a 15 inch size limit
with only 2 kills alowed flies only. other stretches offer no kill areas with
flies only, this is an incredible way to catch trophy fish and lots of them .
i couldnt even imagine having to pay someone to fish i sure do like
having my freedom.if it wasnt for groups like t.u i dont think we would have
these quality stretches. not everyone in my state like these policies
escpecially the bait people. so i say to them learn how to fish .
just my 2 pennies worth

waters are just a different way of segregation and discrimination. The
lease owners can choose "who" will be able to fish and use the excuse of
full leases for the day or week to keep people out that they don't want
regardless of their reason. Foreigners, race, religeon, or even the
social class of the people that want to fish.It also keeps out all of
the lower class people that cannot afford to pay the rich mans tax to
fish . this is a free country and all of the waters in this great land
should have a free acess point for all of the citizens. Fishing was
given to us by GOD not some gready land owner or club or guide service.
my 2 cents Phil
