Is this like a bullethead? Are you real close to the eye? Only thing I can think of that might help is to spin your bobbin and twist the thread tight sometimes this will give it a little extra bite. Maybe some real tacky dubbing wax on the thread, too. Hopefully someone else has some better tips. BTW, I like the Anais Nin quote.
