I don't use the reverse winging method on my flies, I just tie the wings in with
the tips pointing over the back. First make sure you have enough space to tie the
head. Next make sure you have a thread base to tie the squirrel tail fibers on.
Instead of one clump of hair use 3 or 4 small clumps to form the wing. Place a
drop of head cement on the thread wraps at the  base of each clump before you tie
in the next clump. Twist the tying thread so it will be stronger allowing you to
apply more tension to the thread wraps.
