Really, it's scarlet macaw, and the fibers are used for the horns on Classic Atlantic salmon flies.

As I was sorting through my feather bouquet I found a center tail to some kind of Macaw.  Problem is I have no idea which one....   The back side is totally red and the front is mostly red all the way to the top which is blue.  It also has some blue at the base near the stem.  Anybody know the identity of this Macaw?
