I tried to buy a blue and gold and my husband threatened that one of the animals had to go. I already have a green cheek conure so I had to let the macaw go to a different home... I still miss that bird. They did just get a new one in though.... :0) Funny how the art of fly tying turns into a love of birds also! I have a feeling by the time you get to 38 feathers the bird will have cost you more though. I'm just waiting for my Blue and Gold macaw to start shedding her tail feathers. At the prices I've seen around for macaw center tail feathers, it looks like she'll have paid for herself after 38 of em! "
