Tyanna, When you slip the bead on, make sure that the point of the the hook enters the smaller of the two opening. The larger, countersunk, opening facilitates manouvering the bend of the hook a little easier. Once the bead is on, and slid up against the eye, I suggest you 'plug' the larger opening to jam it tighter against the eye. Two ways of doing this are: Attach thread, dubb some dubbing onto the thread, pinch the shank just behind the bead with the nails of thumb&index finger of the non-bobbin hand, and wrap the dubbed thread, forcing it to plug the opening. Or, attach thread, wrap a few turns of fine lead wire, and slide/jam the lead wraps into the opening. Either method will assist you to have a more durable end result.
