I have a question to pose on the proper application of bead heads. For beads that have a larger hole on one side than the other, should one slide the bead on with the large hole towards the eye of the hook? Or with the smaller hole at the eye? The few people I've asked have been split on this question.
I'm getting ready to tie up a bunch of GRHEBH for my father-in-law, as well as for a swap and I want to make sure they're right. Is one way more correct than the other?

If you are going to tie them traditionally, put the point of the hook in the small hole, if you are going to use the bead as the abdomen, it don't matter. Try this: slide on a bead, then another. put the first bead on small hole first and the second one backwards. Then tie as normal, but using one bead for the abdomen. Bring the wing case over the "ab" bead and tie off in between the two of them.
