YES, Ceramic Bobbins are very much worth the extra money....Kevlar will hack a groove into straight metal bobbin tubes in very short order!!!! most of the Bobbins I'm tying with lately are Ceramic tubed... so much smoother, soo much sturdier!!!!!. I've seen Ceramic Bobbins for around $10.00... so it is well worth the money. at last count I found i own 15 bobbins, 12 of which are Ceramic tubed... Hope this helps in your choice....
